Common Side Effects

Redness, Swelling, Tenderness, Bruising

Common and usually temporary. Cold compresses may assist. Bruising may occasionally last 1–2 weeks or longer.

Firmness or Small Lumps

Temporary firmness or palpable areas may occur during settling and integration.

Asymmetry

Temporary asymmetry may occur during the healing phase.

Delayed Swelling

Some individuals may develop delayed swelling days to weeks after treatment, sometimes triggered by illness, dental work, vaccinations, or immune activation.

Rare or Very Rare Risks and Complications

Infection

May require antibiotics, drainage, or medical treatment.

Delayed Inflammatory or Immune Reactions

Can occur weeks, months, or rarely years later. Symptoms may include swelling, redness, firmness, pain, nodules, or facial distortion.

Nodule Formation

Rare. Nodules may develop weeks, months, or years later due to inflammation or immune activation. They may gradually improve or may require:

  • Steroid treatment
  • Ultrasound assessment
  • Prescription medication
  • Dissolving treatment where applicable
  • Surgical intervention in rare cases

Some nodules may become chronic or lead to asymmetry or scarring.

Lymphatic Blockage

Rare swelling due to lymphatic disruption may occur and can occasionally persist for prolonged periods.

Scar Formation

Very rare but may be permanent and difficult to treat. Treatment may require dermatology or plastic surgery input, prescription therapies, laser procedures, skin resurfacing, or surgery.

Vascular Compromise (Arterial or Venous Occlusion) — MEDICAL EMERGENCY

Very rare but serious complication.

This may occur if product enters or compresses a blood vessel, reducing blood supply to tissue.
