ELLANSÉ® BIOSTIMULATORY TREATMENTS

Ellansé® Collagen-Stimulating

Ellansé® is a collagen-stimulating injectable treatment that may be considered as part of an individualised treatment plan following consultation and assessment.

At Dermé Aesthetic Clinic in Camberwell, treatment planning begins with a comprehensive consultation. Dermé is a cosmetic-doctor-led clinic, led by Dr Amir Masoudi (AHPRA Registration No. MED0001655534), Registered Medical Practitioner, General Registration.

Changes in facial volume, contour and skin characteristics may occur over time. During consultation, your practitioner will assess your concerns, facial anatomy, medical history, treatment goals and suitability before discussing whether Ellansé® may be appropriate for your circumstances.

What is Ellansé®?

Ellansé® is an injectable treatment containing polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres suspended in a carrier gel. It is classified as a collagen-stimulating treatment and may be considered in selected individuals following assessment.

Treatment planning is individualised and may involve assessment of facial volume, contour and structural support in selected areas.

Areas that may be assessed include:

  • Cheeks
  • Temples
  • Chin
  • Jawline
  • Mid-face
  • Selected facial contours

Not every concern is suitable for injectable treatment, and not every area should be treated in the same manner. Suitability depends on individual assessment.

Why consultation is important

Consultation allows your practitioner to:

  • Assess facial anatomy
  • Review medical history
  • Discuss treatment goals
  • Explain potential risks and limitations
  • Determine treatment suitability
  • Discuss alternative treatment options where appropriate

As with any cosmetic injectable treatment, risks, side effects and limitations exist. These will be discussed during consultation before treatment is considered.

Ellansé® vs Sculptra®

Both Ellansé® and Sculptra® are collagen-stimulating injectable treatments that may be considered following consultation and assessment. While both treatments are used within the category of collagen stimulation, they differ in composition, treatment approach and clinical characteristics.

Ellansé® contains polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres suspended in a carrier gel. The treatment combines a carrier gel component with collagen-stimulating properties.

Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which acts as a collagen-stimulating treatment following placement within selected treatment areas.

The choice between Ellansé® and Sculptra® depends on a range of factors including facial anatomy, treatment history, treatment goals, suitability and practitioner assessment.

During consultation, your practitioner will discuss whether either treatment may be appropriate for your circumstances and explain the differences relevant to your treatment plan.

Not every person is suitable for every treatment, and in some cases an alternative approach may be more appropriate.
